Our bus is modelled on LS488, a short dual door Leyland National Mk2, which was delivered in May 1981 to London Transport, for Red Arrow work from Victoria (Gillingham Street) garage. With a decline in the Red Arrow network during August 1982, a period of store was to follow, before a trip to Aldenham in Dec 1982 for upseating and fitting of ticket machine. LS488 was then allocated to Stockwell for the P4 in Jan. 1983 . Under retendering in 1985, the route was lost to London Country, and further periods in store beckoned, in addition to spells working at Holloway and Waterloo, Upon privatisation LS488 became part of MTL London Northern. A move within MTL to Liverpool followed, before final scrapping during 2004.
